Welcome to the memorial page for

Jack Arnold Brewer

March 9, 1939 ~ January 19, 2015 (age 75) 75 Years Old

Jack Arnold Brewer 75, of Three Lakes, WI, was welcomed into eternal life, surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for and loved, on Monday, January 19, 2015, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born on March 9, 1939 in Ironwood, MI, son of the late Walter and Dorothy (Arnold) Brewer. Jack married the love of his life, Donna Rae Muska, on December 28, 1957.  He was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hiles, WI, as well as, Grace Lutheran Church in Spring Hill, FL. He was a wonderful Christian husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His family meant everything to him.

Jack served in the United States Army from 1956-1959 and was stationed in Hawaii. Upon his return he became a career Ironworker and a member of the Ironworkers Local 8 in Milwaukee, WI.

In 1976 Jack moved his family to the north woods of Three Lakes, WI where he and Donna owned and operated the Motel Maple and Black Forest Pub and bowling alley until 1980. The family then returned to Oak Creek, WI.

Along with three partners he purchased Ken Thelen Co and was renamed Interstate Erecting Inc. He remained there until his retirement in 1994.

Jack is a member of the Southeastern Wisconsin Short Track Hall of Fame in Hartford, WI, which culminated from a colorful 18 year racing career which included many longtime friendships and rivalries. His son and many grandchildren over the years have followed in his love of racing by racing themselves at many different tracks across Wisconsin. He was a very proud father and grandfather.

He was an avid golfer and snowmobiler and leaves behind many memories of both winter and summer fun with family and great friends!  He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all the other “best” friends we brought home thru the years.  Jack always made sure everyone was invited to the fun and simply made it happen.  He had a lifetime passion for horses that lead him to a “short passion but long frustration” of harvesting hay! He also fulfilled a bucket list dream this past year to attend the Kentucky Derby!

He enjoyed reading and always had a book in arm’s reach.  He also loved crossword puzzles, NASCAR and riding their Harley with “Beans” on the back end, across the USA!

Jack is survived by his wife of 57 years Donna (lovingly known by dad as Beans) a brother John (Carole) Brewer, Sister-in-law Judy Brewer, his children,  Bobby (Rev. Boni) Quandt, Wendy (Jerry) Van Camp, Steve (Michelle) Quandt, Peggy Faulkner, Pam Boldig, Betty Jo Caughell, Katy Breier, and their beloved puppy Suzie Q also his Grandchildren Wade, Traci (Oleg), Evan (Sheri), Michelle (Brian), Chad (Denae), Justin (Gosia), Jessica (Chris), Jake, Sarah (Aaron), Jeremy, Austin (Alyssa) and Little Jack. His great grandchildren Samantha, Aidan, Dreana, Blayke, Declan and Peyton, as well as, many sisters’ and brothers’ -in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother James Brewer, his father and mother-in-law, two sisters’ in- law, a brother in-law and his son-in-law Bruce Boldig.

The family would especially like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr Eddy Co, his lifelong Cardiologist, and his staff at St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee for the many “extra” years they gave us with Jack! We also would like to express our gratitude to the many caregivers in the last 2 months especially the kind-hearted staff in the ER and ICU at Appleton Medical Center during his final days.

We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessings of the time we spent with him here on earth.
