Sue Janssen, 75, of Little Chute, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 9, 2016. Sue was born August 18, 1940 in Appleton, daughter of the late Norbert P. (Fuzzy) and Gertrude (Hackstock) Janssen. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute, National Catholic Society of Foresters (Court #555) and St. John’s Mission Club. Sue attended St. John’s Catholic Grade School and St. John’s High School, graduating in 1958. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Outagamie County Courthouse as Deputy County Treasure. Sue enjoyed playing cards, going to the Casino, sewing, crocheting, knitting, baking and cooking. Sue enjoyed her nieces and nephews very much, as well as her great nieces and nephews.
Sue is survived by her brother-in-law, Ken Van Eperen, Little Chute; her nieces and nephews: Kevin (Kathy) Van Eperen, Shawano, Lori (Bill) Arts, Kaukauna, Michael (Tammy) Van Eperen, Kimberly, Brenda Wilber, Elcho. Sue is also survived by her great nieces and great nephews, Karson, Morgan and Gavin Van Eperen, Ryan and Kayla Arts, Brody, Trevor and Tori Van Eperen, Braden and Alicia Wilber, many cousins and friends. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Lea Ann Van Eperen, grandparents, Frank and Mary Hackstock, Sr. and Joseph and Minnie Janssen and many aunts, uncles and a cousin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
