Dear Jim, Dick, Diana, Gene & Families –
Your father has left you to be with your mother. For that you have my condolences, and my prayers with yours that both your parents now are living forever with their God.
I was honored to be at Magdeline and Melvin’s wedding in ’47 and again at their 50th anniversary celebration - and both events I remember well. For sure God blessed them abundantly with decades of life together and love. The legacy you can all leave in the name of that Hendrichs-Arts union is to continue that love in all your relationships with others. What a memorial that would be!
For health reasons I cannot be with you as you lay your dad to his earthly rest today. What I can do at that time is to offer a Mass for both your parents. May they rest in God’s peace, and may all who mourn their passing find consolation in God! Pax, Fr. Angelo
