Lorraine Patterson left this world peacefully on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born October 8, 1925, to Joseph and Maude Coopman. Lorraine graduated from St. Mary's High School and went to work for Kimberly Clark. She married Robert Patterson on June 10, 1950. They were blessed with sixty years of marriage before his death in 2010.
Lorraine's best moments were spent with her family. Together with Bobby, they raised five children. She worked as a crossing guard and always had a smile and a piece of candy for the little kids who went past her corner.
Lorraine is survived by her children: Christine (Dennis) Wood, Sheldon, SC; Jeanne (David) Hoks, Wisconsin Rapids; Debra (Antonio) Jones, Anchorage, AK; and Bill (Sue) Patterson, Appleton. Six grandchildren: Nathan (Tomoko) Rempel, GA; Amanda Webster, Wisconsin Rapids; Christopher (Amanda) Hoks, Pardeeville; Samantha (Jose Albinil) Patterson, Menasha; Jackie (special friend, Josh Werner) Patterson, Menasha; and Matthew (Kate Hepkat Hermsen) Patterson, Appleton. She is further survived by nine great grandchildren: Kody, Eliathan, and Makayla Rempel; Spencer and Addison Hoks and Hailey Volkening; Landon and Finley Albinil; and Donavon Patterson.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Robert and daughter Patee Koester, as well as her parents and siblings.
As Lorraine wished, there will be no service or visitation. The family will welcome relatives and friends at the Patterson home on Saturday, January 21, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
