Wayne Stanley Baumgart

Wayne Stanley Baumgart, 70, of Freedom, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born on October 11, 1945, son of the late Bill and Catherine (Diedrich) Baumgart. On May 19, 1970, he married Judy Gloudemans at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute.

Wayne proudly served his country for two years in the U.S. Army. He was a master plumber, and in 1984 he started his own business, Baumgart Plumbing, Inc. Wayne enjoyed spending time outdoors at the cottage on Loon Lake and the hunting land in Tigerton. His family was more important to him than anything. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye. There was never a shortage of "I love yous" and he will be deeply missed. Wayne was always willing to help anyone at any time and would never say no.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Judy; his children: Karen (Chad) Zirbel, Craig (Wendy) Baumgart, Amy (Brian) Hintz and Eric (Anne) Baumgart; his precious grandchildren: Madeline, Koen and Braylen Zirbel, Devin, Travis and Levi Baumgart, Taylor Gard, and Halle Baumgart; brothers: Cletus (Elaine), Clyde (Charmaine), Clayton (Avita), Kieth (Cheryl), Darryl (Mary), Earl (Sandy) and Jeff (Jean) Baumgart; a sister, Yvonne (Ron) Kubat; brothers and sisters-in-law: Joe Gloudemans, Dennis (Karen) Gloudemans, Bonnie (Dennis) Feldkamp, Nancy (Greg) Janssen, Jan (Dan) Biselx, Joni (Gerry) Janssen, Kathy (Jeff) Jansen, Colleen (Oscar) Schuler, Tim Gloudemans, Mike (Kay) Gloudemans, Karen (Steve) Frassetto, Jeff (Julie) Gloudemans, Mary (Bob “Bear”) Hietpas, Mark (Katy) Gloudemans, Chris (Terry) Coenen and Todd Gloudemans; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Catherine; his father and mother-in-law, Tony and Verna Gloudemans; son-in-law, Tom Gard; a sister, Karen Baumgart and a sister-in-law, Arlene Gloudemans.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, W2037 County Road S, Freedom. Friends may call at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home Freedom Location, N3972 Columbia Ave., Freedom, on Tuesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday directly at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Full military honors will be performed by the Freedom VFW Post 7692. Interment will take place at St. Nicholas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Wayne’s name. Wayne, You were and always will be the love of my life. We had so much love for each other, and you showed me that love everyday. I thank God for the 46 years together and will do my best to continue our love for our children and grandchildren.  Until we meet again, my love...Judy
