Noah Anthony Evers was born on October 24th, 2015 at 4:38 am to parents, Kevin and Christie Evers. He gently passed into the arms of Jesus at 1:15 pm. In his short time on earth and the months leading up to his birth little Noah touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends.
During a routine ultrasound around 20 weeks, doctors discovered that Noah has a birth defect known as a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH), a condition where the diaphragm does not completely form, allowing the organs to enter the chest cavity and restrict lung growth. The cause of the defect is not known, but research is ongoing to try to establish a genetic link. Noah and his parents provided DNA samples to the DHREAMS study being performed at Columbia University.
A private memorial service will be held for immediate family members on November 2, 2015. In lieu of flowers, the family hopes to make a donation to the DHREAMS study on Noah’s behalf to help find a cause and cure for CDH.
