Michael Arndt

Mike S. Arndt, 53, of Freedom, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, with his loving wife at his side. He was born on December 16, 1961, son of George and Katherine (Tinsman) Arndt. Mike was usually doing something outside and liked anything with a motor! He enjoyed taking the grandkids out on the boat, off road racing, camping, hunting, scuba diving and riding his precious Harley. Mike enjoyed NASCAR races and traveling to NFL stadiums, always wearing his “fox hat”. He worked for 18 years at Repap, and most recently worked as an excavator.

Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna Arndt; children: Shanna (Robert) Buettner, Bradley (Jennifer) Arndt, Travis (special friend Madi Funk) Arndt and Joshua Arndt; grandchildren: Harrison and Corbin Buettner, Olivia and Evelyn Arndt; siblings: Kate (David) Bell, Julie (Tom) Hipp and Jim (Gwen) Arndt; his father, George (special friend, Chris Johnson); mother and father-in-law: Dee and Harlin Spiegel; brothers and sisters-in-law: Sherri (Phil) Devins, Rick (Linda) Spiegel and Jan (Terry) Zimmerman; his three dogs: Bongo, Harley and Maximus; and many other family members and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine; a cousin, Frank Tinsman and a longtime friend, Tracy Royer.

A celebration of Mikes life will take place on Friday, March 20, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Romy’s Nitingale, W5670 County Rd A, Black Creek. A lunch will be served from 11:00-1:00.
