Marshall G. Johnson, age 67, of Appleton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and family on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. He was born in Milwaukee on July 9, 1949, son of the late Kenneth and Carol (Judd) Johnson.
Marshall enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a talented woodworker and built many different birdhouses. Marshall had a big sweet tooth, his favorite treat being ice cream. He was a good hearted, kind man that will be truly missed.
Marshall is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Mary (Porto) Johnson; step children: Daniel (Yumiko) Kowal, Karen (Daniel) Zeuske, Sarah (Bill Peterson) Kowal, and Jessica Haven; grandchildren: Benjamin, Nicholas and Joseph Zeuske and Clara Kowal; siblings: Myra Jordan, Curt Johnson, Brian (Kris) Colby and John Marinko. Marshall is further survived by Mary’s siblings and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marshall was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Johnson; his mother, Carol Marinko; and a brother, Matt Marinko.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2016, at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, N2740 French Road, Appleton, with Pastor Jim Fleming officiating.
