Janice Ruth Freier (Reinholz), age 85, of Kaukauna, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2015, at Peabody Manor, Appleton. She was born January 24, 1930, the daughter of the late Albert and Mabel (Paschen) Reinholz, in Kaukauna, where she was a resident most of her life. On October 20, 1962, she married Karl Freier at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Kaukauna. Karl preceded her in death on September 12, 2006. They were blessed with 43 years of marriage. Janice was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Among many hobbies, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and painting. She was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Kaukauna.
Janice is survived by a son, Scott (Penny) Freier, Hilbert and their son, Jared; a daughter, Sue Freier, Kaukauna, and her daughter and two sons: Nicole (Tim) Klein, Ryan (fiancé Amanda Delforge) and Lance VanDeLeygraaf; a daughter, Sarah (Ken) Beckman, Andover, Minnesota, and their two daughters, Grace and Claire; a brother-in-law, George Steffens, Fond du Lac; and a sister-in-law, Alice Peters, Kimberly.
She was preceded in death by her husband Karl; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and Viola (Kromer) Freier; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Katherine Reinholz; a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Leon Ashauer; a sister, Virginia Steffens; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jane and Robert Johnson; and a brother-in-law, Richard Peters.
Funeral services for Janice will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 804 Grignon Street, Kaukauna, Wisconsin. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Kaukauna.
