Frank R. Kappell, age 81, of Menasha, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 10, 2016. He was born on March 25, 1935, son of the late Roy and Ines (Pagel) Kappell. Frank proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine during the Korean War.
Frank had a love for life. He really enjoyed his wood working shop, making all sort of things for his family and friends. He liked to spend time at his property on Lake Winnebago, go fishing and attend his grandchildren’s sporting events.
Frank is survived by his children: Kathy (Ron) Kappell, Elaine (Mike) Schink and Kim (Don) Grant; a step-daughter, Deborah (Stephen) Riese; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Kappell; grandchildren: Shannon, Faith, Christopher, Melissa, Christie, Christina, Tracey, Jessica, D.J., Chantalle, Danielle, Melissa and John; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Adris Butler.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Delores (Themer) Kappell; a son, Mark; siblings: Elaine, Dale and Leon; and a step-son, Ron Pauly.
A celebration of Frank’s life will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at his former house, W7139 Fire Lane 2, Menasha, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Full Military Honors will be performed at 4:00 p.m. For online condolences, please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
