Beata M. “Bea” Hahn, age 85, of Little Chute, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, October 26, 2017. She was born in Little Chute on August 22, 1932.
Bea married Paul Van Eyck in 1949, and together they had four children before his passing in 1955. She then married Dick Hahn in 1957, and together they had one son. Bea was an extremely active member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Al-Anon and TOPS. She made countless very special relationships with many other members of those organizations. Bea loved spending time with her family, especially while camping and attending the yearly family reunion.
Bea is survived by her children: Sue Miller, Gerald (Edna) Van Eyck, daughter-in-law, Lois Van Eyck, Paula (Bob) Vander Weyst, and Dennis (Michelle) Hahn; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and siblings: Darrel Hinkens and Bonnie (Don) Thews.
Bea was preceded in death by her husbands: Paul Van Eyck and Dick Hahn; a son, Phil Van Eyck; grandson, Alex Johnson; great granddaughter, Alexa Price; her mother, Helen Hinkens Miller; brothers: Romy (Mary) Hinkens and Duane (Ginny) Hinkens; and a sister-in-law, Barb Hinkens.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 St. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. For online condolences, please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
