Zachary "Zack" J. Soland

Zachary “Zack” J. Soland, 35, of Sherwood, WI passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 31 st , 2022. He was born on November 14 th , 1986 to James (Jim) and Yvonne (Bonnie) Soland.

Zack graduated from Kaukauna High School class of 2005. From there Zack went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Business at UW- Oshkosh. Zack was an incredibly creative person who loved listening to music, singing, rapping, and freestyling. He was an avid video gamer and also loved his Friday night card games with the family and competing against them every night in Wordle. He was an avid sports fan, specifically the Green Bay Packers, the Milwaukee Brewers, and his favorite basketball player Kobe Bryant. He also liked to watch WWE and when he was younger loved to bet against his siblings every Wrestle Mania. Zack will be remembered by family and friends for his kind heart. He always went above and beyond to be there for anyone he knew and he loved making people laugh. Zack had the biggest heart and always made sure to give everyone a “bear hug.” He was a loving son, uncle, brother, brother-in-law, and friend.

Zack is survived by his mother and stepfather Yvonne “Bonnie” (Norm Stoddard) Soland; sisters: Brittney (Richard) Dupuis, Mandy (Jeff) Quick and Danielle (Dave) Spigarelli; brother Josh Soland; step-sisters: Becky (Dan) Taylor and Maggie (fiancé Cody Biese) Stoddard; nieces and nephews: Austin (Lexi) and Reece Dupuis, Alianna Quick, Raven Spigarelli and Orion Shaddick; and paternal grandma Julia Soland. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Zack is preceded in death by his father, James Soland; paternal grandpa Ernie Soland; maternal grandparents Ossie and Rosie Johnson; uncles: Curt Johnson and Scott Krzewina, & first cousin Rory Krzewina.

Zack’s family would like to give special thanks to the incredible care team at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in both the ER and ICU. Their compassion and patience was truly appreciated.

A memorial service for Zack will be held on Saturday, September 10 th , 2022 at Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna Location 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service.
