Wayne Dietzen Obituary

Wayne Mark Dietzen peacefully rose to the arms of God on February 6, 2026. He was born on June 4, 1967, passing at the age of 58.

Wayne was a gentle soul whose life was defined not by limitation, but by extraordinary love. In his final days, Wayne faced dementia—an unkind disease that slowly dimmed pieces of his memory, but it never touched the essence of who he was.

Wayne made his Down Syndrome his Superhero Power, which gifted him with an unmatched ability to love without condition, care without judgment, and connect soul-to-soul with everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. Wayne had a rare and beautiful way of touching hearts, often without saying a word. His kindness was instinctive, his affection unwavering, his joy was contagious and his presence unforgettable.

Wayne made a lifelong impact on countless people simply by being himself. Wayne departed this world with no enemies, no grudges, and lifted everyone who met him. Wayne truly left this world a better place than when he entered—a legacy of pure compassion, infectious joy, and profound humanity.

Wayne is survived by his loving parents, Ray and Carrie Dietzen; his brother, Jeff Dietzen; his sister, Jamie Dietzen; his sister-in-law, Lindsay Dietzen; and his cherished niece, Bryn Dietzen. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, John and Alice Dietzen, and Richard and Marion Werner.

Wayne’s life reminds us that the greatest measure of a person is not their possessions, but how deeply they love. That love endures—quietly, powerfully—in every heart he touched, and it will live on forever.
