Thomas E. Bauer, age 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2024. He was born on November 22, 1945 to the late Earl and Pat (Clark) Bauer in Appleton, WI.
Tom was a graduate of Appleton West High School Class of 1964 where he met the love of his life, Connie Vosters. On September 17, 1966 they were united in marriage at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Appleton. Tom was a member of the U.S. Navy Seabees and proudly served his country in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Tom was employed as a welder and serviceman at WE Energies for 36 years. He had a passion for cars and motorcycles and was happiest when he was home tinkering in the garage. His love for cars was passed down to his son as well as his granddaughter whom Tom enjoyed assisting while racing at WIR. One of Tom’s fondest memories was taking motorcycle rides with his brother, Mike. Spending time with his family was one of Tom’s greatest joys in life and he will be truly missed by those who were lucky enough to know him.
Tom is survived by his wife of 58 years, Connie; sons: Brad Bauer and Brett Bauer; grandchildren: Blake Bauer, McKenzie (Tyler) Bauer Jacobson, Noah Bartel, Brooklynn Bauer, and Macey Bauer; great-grandchildren: Hudson Bauer, Waylon Bauer, Jemma Jacobson, and Bowen Jacobson; siblings: Mary (David) Zunker, Pam Haack, and Beth (Mike) McAuley-Schlemme; brother-in-law, Craig (Katie) Vosters; special cousins: Kim Daul and Erika Rohm; and faithful companion, Buddy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law: Mike and Cynde Bauer; infant brother, Joe Bauer; and parents-in-law: Don and Dorothy Vosters.
