Theresa Van Camp Obituary

Theresa E. Van Camp, age 93, of Freedom, passed away peacefully at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna on December 21, 2020.  She was born on March 1, 1927, daughter of the late George and Anna (Vandenberg) Vanden Heuvel.  She was married to Glen Van Camp on October 25, 1950 at St. Therese Catholic Church in Appleton.  They were blessed with 59 years of marriage until Glen passed away in 2010.

Therese grew up on a farm in Little Chute, being the 7th of 10 children.  She worked at the Appleton Woolen Mills until starting a family.  Together Therese and Glen farmed in Freedom and were long time members of St. Nicholas catholic church where they attended mass daily during retirement.  She lived her life with faith, patience and grace.  Between raising their family of 7 children and running the family farm, M.S. didn’t stop Therese from being busy in the house and helping with the farm chores.  They enjoyed traveling and camping whenever possible, and there are many fond memories of those adventures.  She loved to play cards, play the piano by ear, sing, and pray.

Therese is survived by her children:  Gary (Julie) Van Camp, Linda (Walt) Strelow, Jim (Ann Marie) Van Camp, Darlene (Paul) Hermes, Randy (Lori) Van Camp, Brian (Patsy) Van Camp, and daughter-in-law Carla Van Camp.  Her grandchildren, Ryan (Sarah Rose) Van Camp, Cory (Casey) Van Camp, Alissa Effa, Steve (Selene) Van Camp, Tim (Darla) Van Camp, Sarah (Chris) Wilkinson, Kevin (Kelly) Van Camp, Greg Strelow, Rachel (Kyle) Caulkins, Emily (Alvar) Ayala, Claire (Greg) Hermann, Conor (Sarah) Van Camp, Hugh Van Camp, Dan Hermes, Nick (Shuntae) Hermes, Kait (Cory) Harter, Ben (Michelle) Hermes, Kendra Van Camp, Karli Van Camp, Morganne Van Camp.  And 23 great grandchildren.  Sisters:  Myra Mueller and Adelle Mortell; sister-in-law Mary Van De Hey, brother-in law Floyd Van Camp.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Anna Vanden Heuvel, husband Glen Van Camp, son Rick Van Camp, great granddaughter Trinity Van Camp, father and mother-in-law Frank and Magdalene (Biese) Van Camp, brothers:  John (Ann) Vanden Heuvel, Ray (Florence) Vanden Heuvel, Bud (Mary Lou) Vanden Heuvel, George Vanden Heuvel, sisters: Esther (Ben) Karls, Edna (Ferdie) Ulman, Rosemary (Joe) Hackel, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws:  Orville Mueller, Tom Mortell, Marcel Van Camp, Amos Van De Hey, Alois (Delores) Van Camp, Gene (Laurie) Van Camp, Gerald (Donna) Van Camp and Joanne Van Camp.
