Terry Brockman, age 33, passed away September 3, 2021. He was big-hearted with a beautiful smile, wonderful laugh and quick wit. He was intelligent and a hard worker. Terry loved the outdoors and enjoyed ATV riding. He was adventurous and had traveled to Hawaii and the West Coast. Terry struggled for many years with addiction and it stole his life. The pain of his death is heartbreaking, and we will miss him every day for the rest of our lives. We love you, Bear.
He is survived by his parents, Pete and Penny Brockman, his sister Danielle Brockman (Alan), and the dogs, Jake and Dusty.
He’s further survived by many aunts and uncles: Cindy Kersten, Jo (Joe) Pritzl, Tammy (Mike) Thyssen, Judy Knaus, Marlene Brockman, Carol (Toby) Paltzer, Bill (Pat) Brockman, Lyn (Herb) Stephani, LeRoy (Glenda) Brockman, Gary (Marilyn) Brockman, godparents Mel (Kathy) Brockman, Mary (Cliff) Ebben, Tony Brockman, Rachel (Tom) Acord, Charlotte (Dan) Vanden berg, Kris (Race McComb) Brockman, and Dan (Mary) Brockman.
Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Reginald and Eunice Brockman, Bee Anthony, and Floyd Anthony, as well as uncles James Brockman, Reginald Brockman Jr., Alex Knaus, and John Kersten.
The funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home FREEDOM LOCATION, N3972 Columbia Ave., Freedom. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3:30 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Terry’s name to help others battling addiction.
