Suzanne (Getschow) Miron

Suzanne M. Miron, 81, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at home. Suzanne was born on April 30, 1943, to Brace and Eleanor (Braumandl) Getschow. On August 14, 1965, she was united in marriage to Thomas Miron. They spent the majority of their married life in Manitowoc and Menasha, Wisconsin. Suzanne's love for the Lord and the bible was evident in her life. She was active in Manitowoc’s Women’s Aglow, which strengthened her faith and gave her lifelong friends. Sue lived out her faith by volunteering and helping people. She has been volunteering for more than ten years at St Vincent de Paul in Kaukauna. Sue found great joy in developing friendships wherever she was.

Suzanne's love for her family was unwavering. She is survived by her children, Michelle (Trevor) Gamache, Penny (Wade) Knoke, Jude (Jennifer) Miron; grandchildren: Rachel (Dustin) Jindracek, Will Gamache, Reece Miron, Evan Miron, Liam Miron, and Gavin Miron, siblings; Rueben (Jackie) Getschow, Joe (Petrice) Getschow and Gail (George) King, sister-in-law Clara Jo Miron, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thom; a grandson, Ian Gamache; a sister, Jean (Bob) Vanderloop; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Jim Miron, Char (Leon) Bevers, and Judy Wunrow. 

The memorial service for Suzanne will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Verkuilen Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna.  A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  For online condolences please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
