Steve J Kuhn, age 62, of Little Chute, passed away unexpectedly on March 30,2026 while doing what he loved most. He was born February 28,1964 the son of the late Henry and Rose (VanderWyst) Kuhn.
A graduate of Little Chute High School Steve was a skilled arborist known to many as “Hillbilly Steve,” a nickname that inspired the name of his business, HillBilly Tree Service. He took great pride in his work, especially climbing trees and being known as the very best at bringing them down. This work reflected his strength and his passion for the outdoors.
Steve had a deep love for the simple things in life. He always found satisfaction in hard work and a job well done. He enjoyed camping, fixing things and building or creating new things with his hands.
Steve is survived by his son, Kyle (Heather) Kuhn, and his grandson, Dominic. He also leaves behind his sisters, Marilyn (Roy) Kuhtz and Debbie Kiesow; longtime friend Tracy Brevak and family; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Rose Kuhn and his sisters Kathy Janssen, Doris Kuhn, Margie Cotter, and Patty Sonkowsky.
Steve’s warmth, generosity, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends and all whose lives he touched.
Per Steve’s wishes, no services will be held.
