Stephen “Wiggie” C. Weigman, age 75 passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born on December 9, 1950 in Kaukauna to the late Leo and Helen (Sanders) Weigman.
Wiggie was drafted into the United States Army and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he began a long and dedicated career as a millwright, spending 38 and a half years at Appleton Coated. He took great pride in his work and the relationships he built over nearly four decades. Known for his strong work ethic, steady hands, and unwavering reliability, Wiggie was someone others could always count on.
A highlight of Wiggie’s later years was participating in the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., in 2018. He often spoke of the meaningful experience and the camaraderie he shared with fellow veterans.
Outside of work, Wiggie truly embraced life. He enjoyed trips to the casino, always ready to try his luck and enjoy the excitement. Around town, he was a familiar and friendly sight, often seen cruising on his scooter. He also loved catching softball games, playing cribbage, and spending time hunting and fishing with friends and his brothers-in-law.
A devoted “Papa”, Wiggie rarely missed his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was their biggest fan, cheering them on with pride and treasuring every moment spent together. These memories will be deeply cherished by his family.
At home, Wiggie found joy in life’s simple comforts. He enjoyed watching classic television shows like MASH* and The Andy Griffith Show, which brought him laughter and familiarity over the years. He was also a NASCAR fan who never missed the chance to watch a race and root for his favorite drivers.
Wiggie was preceded in death by his first wife, Lynn (Dietzen) in 2004 after 31 years of marriage. He found love again and married Linda (Holtz) in 2007, with whom he shared 18 fun and meaningful years.
He will be remembered for his easygoing spirit, his love for his family, and the simple joys that made his life full.
