Stacy L. Bork Obituary

Stacy (Van Boxtel) Bork, a devoted wife, proud mother, cherished daughter, resilient sister, and radiant light to everyone who knew her, passed away peacefully at the age of 44 after a fierce and courageous battle with breast cancer.  Rather than viewing her passing as a defeat, Stacy's family celebrates her being called to a place of perfect peace, entirely free of pain, and full of eternal joy.

Stacy worked at Thrivent for over 16 years; she enjoyed working for such a supporting company and truly became a part of the Thrivent family.

Stacy knew how to live life to the fullest. Whether she was shooting darts with a competitive smile, camping trips surrounded by friends and family, or dancing along to live music, she brought her infectious energy everywhere she went. Her absolute favorite tradition was spending Friday nights at the Colonial House Supper Club, creating unforgettable memories filled with laughter, storytelling, and good times.  Her legacy of strength and unapologetic joy will live on forever in the hearts of those she loved so deeply.

Stacy’s proudest role was being a mom to Aaron. She was his biggest supporter and ultimate sideline cheerleader, always attending his sports games with a smile that showed the deep love she held for her boy.

Stacy is survived by her husband, Nick; her 9-year-old son, Aaron; her parents, Jim and Kathy Van Boxtel; her brother, Jesse (Jody) Van Boxtel; her twin sister, Tracy (Joe) Huiting; and her grandmother, Evie Hug.

She is further survived by her mother-in-law, Julie (Randy) Recker; father-in-law, Dan (Peggy) Bork; brother-in-law, Nate (fiancé Chelsea) Bork; sister-in-law, Nicole (Jeremy) Brown; step brothers-in-law: Eric (Annie) Bristol and Ben Bristol; step brothers-in-law: Tony Recker, Zach (Amanda) Recker and Nick Recker; her beloved nieces and nephews: Jadyn, Jenna, Jacob, Naleyah, Ethan, Jaydah, Emily, Mylah, Kailey, Owen, and Lolah; as well as many special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A remembrance of Stacy’s vibrant life and visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home located at N3972 N Columbia Ave in Freedom, WI. A service will take place at 7:00 p.m. In honor of her bright spirit, the family invites everyone to remember her exactly as she lived: full of life, love, and light.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Stacy's name to the Spierings Cancer Foundation.

Stacy’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Cheng and the caring staff at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee for their dedicated care. They also wish to express their deepest gratitude to Thrivent and August Winters & Sons for the tremendous support provided during this difficult time.
