Sheree Lewis Obituary

Sheree A. Lewis, 62, entered the kingdom of Heaven on January 10, 2025, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on December 23, 1962, to Donald and Evelyn Stanchik (Steinfeldt) in Green Bay, Wisconsin, as the eldest of her four siblings, Mark, Terrie, Donnie, and Kevin. Sheree shared a strong connection with her beloved grandmother Josephine Steinfeldt (Skenandore) who played a significant role in her upbringing. Sheree earned degrees in business and paralegal, and worked for the Oneida tribe for 25 years before retiring to care for her four grandchildren and support her family's bakery. Known for her strong will, sense of humor, and deep faith, she also cherished her Native American heritage. Her strong faith sustained her during her illness, and she was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. The family thanks Pastor Bill for his steadfast support throughout the years. We take great comfort in knowing you were by her side the morning she went to be with our Lord. Sheree's legacy lives on with her loved ones who rejoice in her new life in our heavenly Fathers arms, reunited with her parents, grandmother and baby brother Kevin.

Sheree was a proud grandmother who loved to share stories about her family. She looked for any opportunity to showcase how special and talented she knew them all to be. She leaves behind her two granddaughters Brooklynn and Londynn along with twin grandsons Boston and Bronx, whom were her absolute entire world. She adored her grandchildren more than words could express. She had an unshakable bond with her only daughter Brittney, and a deep appreciation for her son-in-law Johnny.

Sheree's legacy will be remembered not for her career or thirst for knowledge, but for her unwavering support in raising her grandchildren and encouraging her daughter to chase her dreams. Sheree's close bond with her family will endure in their memories, especially through her daughter and grandchildren, who all inherited her striking, icey blue, siren eyes. The afternoon that Sheree went to be with our Lord, in His perfect plan, her eyes became the gift of sight for someone in need. We are honored to know she chose to be the gift for others. Our family expresses our deepest gratitude to the compassionate nurses at AMC in Appleton for their care during Sheree's final days. Nurses Zamzam, Brittney, and Lakeishya, along with hospice nurses Kris and Nikki. Your warmth and kindness will always be remembered.

A celebration of life will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Appleton, on February 1st with visitation from 10-11am, service at 11am, and reception to follow. We invite family, friends, and loved ones to join us to celebrate Sheree's life and heavenly eternity.

Details for the traditional Oneida fire keeping ceremony to be announced.
