Ronald "Ronnie" Simpson Obituary

Ronald “Ronnie” G. Simpson, 87 died, peacefully at Country Villa, Little Chute on October 27, 2025. He was born on August 13, 1938 to George and Gladys “Spice” Simpson in Freedom, Wisconsin.

He married Elaine Van Nuland on September 23, 1958 at St. John’s in Little Chute, Wisconsin. Ron was employed for 37 years at numerous railroad companies including C.N.W, WC, FRVR and CN retiring in 2000. Ron loved listening to country music, deer hunting with his sons and camping in Lakewood, Mountain, and Shawano.

Ron is survived by his children: Randy (Karen) Simpson, Rick (Joan) Simpson, Rhonda (Wayne) Vandenberg, and Renee (Chris) Frank; grandchildren: Tyler Frank, and Katie Frank (fiancé Joseph Melvin); brothers: Mike and Keith Simpson; sister, Pat (Vic) Springstroh; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine; his in-laws: Harry and Ethel (Bongers) VanNuland; sister, Betty (Ray) Vanderbloomer, sisters-in-law: Roseann (Ray) Toonen, Marlene (Lyle) Friebel, Donna VanNuland, Judy (Rich) Leffel; brother-in-law, Bob VanNuland, nieces: Tracy Toonen and Shari Solberg; and nephew, Brian Friebel.
