Ronald Joseph Kranski

Ronald Joseph Kranski, 71, died peacefully on October 17, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Ron was born in Kenosha, WI, on November 13, 1953, the eldest son of Ernest and Rose Ann Kranski. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Debra; his three sons, Nathaniel, Eric, and Elijah; his daughter-in-law, Sarah; his son-in-law, Matthew; and his grandchildren, Maeven, Callie, and Myles.

He cherished being brother to Kathleen Zwiefelhofer, Jeaneen (Gary) Anderson, Shirley Burdick, Richard Kranski, Kristine Graham, Karolyn Spaulding, Susan (David) Castronova, and Vicky Kranski.

Ron was an independent spirit in thought and action, and he centered his life on providing all he could for his family. He began his career at American Motors and retired proud of his achievements as an industrial electrician at Kimberly-Clark. Ron was most content spending time with his “pretty girl” on the farm they built together. He and his wife—true life partners—shared a deep and undeniable love. Ron raised his sons with dedication, giving them tools to create lives that honored their individual gifts and unique dreams. He reveled in sharing simple joys with his grandchildren and exploring their curious minds. Ron will be remembered for embracing life’s challenges, pushing himself to constantly learn, and finding great purpose in working with his hands.  

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at noon on November 8, 2025, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, N3972 Columbia Ave., Freedom.
