Roman T. Bruecker

Roman T. Bruecker, 82, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021.  Roman was born on February 14, 1938 to William and Emma (Schmit) Bruecker.  Roman was a veteran having served in the US Army and was solider of the year in 1962.  He was united in marriage to Lois “Jean” Van De Leygraaf on August 6, 1966 at St. Francis in Hollandtown.  Roman worked at Giddings and Lewis until 1985 and retired from Banta in 2000.  He enjoyed family vacations to Chute Pond and cookouts in the park.  Roman enjoyed tinkering around and working on small projects especially with his children. 

Roman is survived by his wife Jean, five children; Scott (Kathryn) Bruecker, Terry Bruecker, Leanne (Scott) Bastian, Eric Bruecker (Denise Bruecker), Cindy (Sean) Steinacker, 7 grandchildren; Heidi, Hope, Mike (Jackie), Tyler, Trevor, Emma, Alyssa (Jordan), siblings; Phil (Joyce) Bruecker, Therese (Art) Vande Hey, Dolores (Gordy) Diedrich, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Roman was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Amy, and A brother Leo Bruecker.  

The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 12:30 PM at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL-ST. FRANCIS SITE, 433 County CE Hollandtown.  A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.verkuilen.com
