Roger M. Swanningson

Roger M. Swanningson, age 75, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving wife at his side on October 30, 2021. He was born on May 27, 1946, son of the late Walter and Regina (Verhagen) Swanningson. Roger married Evon Vande Hey on May 14, 1968, and together have celebrated over 53 years of marriage.

Roger was an avid outdoorsman, mainly enjoying hunting and fishing. He loved a good game of Bingo and watching sporting events, especially the Brewer games. He will be dearly missed.

Roger is survived by his wife, Evon; children: Tony (Donna) Swanningson and Kristi (Mark) Bobber; grandchildren: Corey (Cassie) Swanningson, Kayla (Dylan) Schultz, Jordan Bobber and Grayson Bobber; great grandchild, Emerson Swanningson; in-laws: Ann Swanningson, Carol Swanningson, Gary (Jean) Vande Hey, Earl (Jean) Vande Hey and Mary K. (John) Hermes; Godchildren: Lorie, Aaron, Joshua and Brian; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Regina Swanningson; brothers: Robert and Richard Swanningson; sisters: Evelyn (Gerald) Schmidt and Debra (Raymond) Van Wychen; father and mother-in-law: Fritz and Leone Vande Hey; brother-in-law, Marvin Vande Hey; daughter-in-law, Sherry Swanningson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Don Everts officiating.
