With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved father Robert J. “Bob” Wydeven, age 86, of Combined Locks, WI.  He slipped away peacefully on Thursday May 14, 2026. 

Bob was born to Richard and Grace (Jansen) Wydeven on June 24, 1939.  He married his one and only love, Donna (Schinke) on July 8, 1958 and cherished 60 memorable years together. 

Bob was always full of laughter, shenanigans, silly jokes, and heartwarming smiles.  He delighted in effortless chatting with anyone he’d meet.  He was an Army Veteran, worked for the Village of Combined Locks, and eventually built his career as a truck driver for Roundy’s and SuperValu. He retired early to spend time with family, neighbors & friends.  He stayed busy and active in passions of golf, auto races, bike cycling, football & basketball games, and going out to eat with family.

Bob and Donna enjoyed several years of retirement wintering in Gulf Shores, relishing the warmth and creating cherished moments that made timeless memories.

He was a great dad and an awesome grandfather!

His memory and legacy of laughter and fun will be cherished by his children: Steve Wydeven, Tina (Tony) Neely, Stacy Rundquist (partner Bret).  Grandchildren: Jessica (Brandan) Rundquist Neely, Robert McGuire, Robbie (Stephanie) Wydeven, Marc (Tracey) McGuire, Samantha Rundquist (partner Kevin), Erik Rundquist (fiancée Maggie), Kelly Neely, Cassidy Neely, Adonis Pierce.  Great grandchildren: Kayla, Common, Kane, Maliyah, Kahlilah, Adalyn, Greyson and Esmeray.

Bob is survived by brothers and sisters: Jim (Janice) Wydeven, Carolyn (Dave) Minten, Barbara (Tom) Hoffman, Jeff (Beth) Wydeven.  Sister-in-laws: Elaine Wydeven and Barbara Potter, along with many extended family members and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by: his wife Donna, his parents Richard and Grace Wydeven, brothers: Richard Wydeven & sister-in-law Betty, Jerry Wydeven, Tom Wydeven & sister-in-law Betty.  In-laws Russ Schinke, Sheilia (Mark) Mislinski, and William (Bill) Potter.

In accordance with Bob’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Please join us as we gather to honor his life. We will share memories, stories, and moments together on July 11th from 1-4pm at Waverly Beach Bar and Grill, Menasha. 

We express our deepest gratitude for the hardworking and loving hands of the staff at Care Partners in Appleton, Compassus Hospice, and his at-home caregiver Lori, for your genuine and tender care for our father.
