Robert "Bob" W. Siebers

Robert W. Siebers, 94, died peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2025. Robert was born to Peter and Ella (Ambrosius) Siebers on September 2, 1930, in Little Chute. He graduated in the class of 1948 and then attended two years of college courses. He proudly served as a U.S. Marine from 1951 until 1953 followed by seven years in the U.S. Marine Reserves.

Bob married Jean (Van Grinsven) on May 1, 1954, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. Bob and Jean raised five children and celebrated 70 years together. Following college, Bob had a successful career in the paper industry. Bob, along with Jean, enjoyed more than 30 years at their summer cottage on Lake Metonga in Crandon, WI. Bob enjoyed playing cards, golfing, and bowling. In 1991, he rolled a 300 game in one of the many leagues in which he participated.

Bob is survived by his wife, Jean; two sons: Bruce (Sue) and Steve; three daughters: Nancy (Brian) Sakowski, Donna (Don) Gilbert, and Patricia (Jim) Wicklund; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four step-great- grandchildren. He is further survived by his siblings: Mary Ludtke, Jan (Jerry) Gonnering and Sara (John) Sprister; and his in-laws: Gloria Siebers, Irene Krueger, and Don Van Grinsven.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his siblings: Cliff, Joan (Ken) Hermsen, Norb (Joan), Helen (Dick) Langedyke, and baby Gordon; his in-laws: Ron Ludtke, Roseann (Ron) Geiger, Eva (Glen) Jansen, Martha (Milt) Vanden Bosch, Joyce (Bill) Jirikowic, Wally Krueger, and Patsy Van Grinsven.

Services for Bob will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic church, 2331 E. Lourdes Dr., Appleton.  A time of visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.  For online condolences please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
