Robert (Bob) L. Kurey 73 of Mackville, faithful husband and father, passed away unexpectedly January 5, 2026. He was born in Appleton, WI on July 17, 1952 to Lawrence and Elaine (Mueller) Kurey. He graduated from Freedom High School with the class of 1970. After graduation he worked briefly at the Kimberly paper mill. He married the former Nancy Geurts on June 13, 1975 and together they took over the family farm in 1977, where they raised their three sons. He passed onto them his strong work ethic and never give up, keep fighting attitude. Bob loved to hunt, fish, snowmobile, talk tractors, go to and watch auctions on TV, whether it was farm or car related. He enjoyed a good NASCAR race, especially cheering for The Intimidator, the late Dale Earnhardt.
Most of all, Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, sharing his hobbies, knowledge, and wisdom with his boys. Bob was always there for his family and would help in any way possible. He was a great teacher, instilled many values, always had great words of wisdom and sound advice for his boys.
He is survived by his sons Craig (Kimberly), Kyle (Amanda), and Kody; his siblings Leonard (Shirley) Kurey and Sister Annette/Carol Kurey; mother in-law Ione Geurts; in-laws Debbie (Tom) Murphy, Mary (Mike) Springstroh, Ron (Diane) Geurts, and Dave (Lynn) Geurts; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy (Geurts), parents Lawrence and Elaine Kurey, father in-law Celestine (Tom) Geurts, grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.
