Robert “Bob” Wolff, age 63, passed away unexpectedly at St. Elizabeth Hospital of complications from Huntington’s Disease. Bob was born on December 29, 1960 in Oshkosh to the late Robert and Betty (Wojahn) Wolff.
Bob was a graduate of Kaukauna High School Class of 1979. Immediately after high school he began his Pipe Fitting apprenticeship. Bob continued working for Piping Service Incorporated for many years until his retirement in 2019. In 1979, Bob met the love of his life, Laurie Van Handel, and they were united in marriage on September 12, 1981. They were blessed with the birth of their daughter Lindsay on July 1, 1986. In his spare time, he loved to be outdoors in nature while staying active playing golf and biking. Bob also had a passion for travel and for the past 5 years he and Laurie had spent the winter months in Destin, Florida where they built lasting friendships and memories with their “Destin Family.”
Bob is survived by his wife of 42 years, Laurie Wolff; his daughter, Lindsay (Andrew) Kraemer; the apple of his eye- granddaughter, Olivia; siblings: Patti Ferrel, Joy Rodgers, and Tom (Carrie) Wolff; mother-in-law, Millie Van Handel; brothers and sisters-in-law: Lynn (Jeff VanDynHoven) Van Handel, Ginger (Gary) Kerkhoff, Julie Van Handel, and Bobby (Lori) Van Handel. Bob is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Betty Wolff and his father-in-law, Robert Van Handel.
A memorial service for Bob will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until the time of the service.
