Richard "Rick" Stuck

Rick Stuck, 74, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.  Rick was born on March 14, 1947 to Matthew Stuck and Bernice Stuck Stead, and his step mom Eleanor Stuck. 

Rick married his first love Sharon Romenesko in May of 1968.  Sharon passed in July 2003.  Rick and Sharon spent their early years running the Freedom Auto Engine Rebuilders in Freedom, Wisconsin.  Rick and Sharon were blessed with one son Jody who brought them great joy.  Jody passed away in April 2021.  In Ricks later years he found his second love Linda Bohlman Stuck.  Linda also passed away in March 2021.  Rick and Linda enjoyed their beautiful home in Fond du Lac and the wildlife sanctuary they had in the back yard.  Rick would shoot peanuts to the birds with his homemade slingshot.  The squirrels would come up to the window and wait patiently for Rick to hand fed them peanuts.  They had many forms of wildlife visit their back yard and brought them many hours of happiness.  They also had a very special kitty named Maisie that is now being loved by Linda’s sister Nancy.  Rick had a great passion for antiques and had a shop in downtown Fond du Lac for a few years.  He enjoyed sharing stories with other avid antique lovers.  Rick also had a jet boat that he loved to share rides with his family at his father’s lake house.  We all have great memories of these days at the lake.

Rick is survived by his granddaughter Ashley (Luke) Cotton, great grandchildren; Rya, Nasrin, Shyloe and Shaiton-Jasar, siblings; Jim (Judi) Stuck, David Stuck, Andrew (Liz) Stuck, Darlene (Craig) Berg, Matthew Stuck Jr, Allen (Beth) Stuck, Shirley Stuck and Maria (Phillip) Hanson.  Rick had numerous nieces and nephews and was loved by many friends. 

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sharon, wife Linda, a son Jody and his sister Carol Witt. 

The funeral service for Rick will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 4:00 PM at the VERKUILEN VAN DEURZEN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, FREEDOM, N 3972 Columbia Ave.  A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.verkuilenfh.com. 

The family would like to send a very special thank you to all of the friends and family through this difficult year.  A special thank you to Rick’s very good friend Dwight, his caregiver and friend Ursula and Linda’s sister Nancy and her family, Mike and Cherie for all of their support and help.  To the nurses and staff on Floor 5 at St Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac thank you for caring for our brother and loving him through this difficult time.  You will not be forgotten.
