Raymond J. Brockman “Heimer”, age 90, of Little Chute, grabbed his hat and went home to mom on Monday, October 16, 2023. He was born on May 13, 1933 to the late Arthur and Rose (Sylvester) Brockman. On September 17, 1955 Heimer married Catherine “Katie” Evers at St. John’s Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute. They enjoyed 61 years together until Katie’s passing on July 2, 2017.
Heimer was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258 for 65 years, of which he was very proud. After Katie’s passing his children continued with his Saturday ritual of 4:30 mass, a bite to eat and signing in at a few local establishments. He lived for those Saturdays!
Heimer is survived by his children: Cindy (Bob) Schlimm, Becky (Ken “Tomato”) Berken, Tim (Diane) Brockman and Joey (Nancy “Putts”) Brockman; grandchildren: Tom Schlimm, Dan (Kay) Schlimm, Anna White, Todd (Carrie) Berken, Greg (Casey) Berken, Eric (Taylor) Berken, Lauren (Moira Farrell) Brockman, Aaron (Parker Wolf) Brockman, Dave and Ben Brockman; great grandchildren: Blake and Caleb Berken, Maverick White, Edison and Ike Schlimm, Rumi and Willa Brockman. He is also survived by his sister Jeanette Wilz, his in-laws: Cathy Brockman, Ade Evers, Celeste Evers, Donald Evers, Ronald Beattie and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, John and Wilhelmina “Minnie” (Hietpas) Evers; his siblings: Martha (Elmer) Kahler, Gil (Mary) Brockman, Carl (Willie) Brockman, Ruth (Bob) Verbeten and Cliff Brockman; his brother and sisters-in-law; Cliff Wilz, Ed (Vi) Evers, Henry Evers, Ray (Del) Evers, Delia (Martin) Joosten, George Evers, Tony (Lorayne) Evers, Sebastian “Whitey” (Peggy) Evers, Gordy (Rosie) Evers, Elaine Evers and Mary Ann Beattie.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 411 Vandenbroek St., Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating.
