Ralph J. Seegers

Ralph John Seegers, age 87, of Combined Locks, passed away on July 25, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.

Ralph was born on June 21, 1938, in Kimberly, Wisconsin, and graduated from Kimberly High School with the class of 1957. He spent his entire life in the Fox Valley, settling in Combined Locks with his wife, Mary “Vonnie” (Van Den Broek) Seegers, since their marriage on September 6, 1958, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, in Kimberly.

Ralph worked various jobs at the Kimberly-Clark mill for 43 years, retiring as a painter. He was known for his hard work and steady presence. Ralph was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Church.

Ralph was known for always having a good time, being a fixture at JD’s Drive-In, and going on nightly “patrols” with Vonnie through Kimberly and Combined Locks. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time at their cottage on St. John’s Lake near Crandon.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Vonnie, and their three children: Vicky (Doug Haen) Keel, Kelly (Mike) Mueller, and Nikki (Lonnie) Nienhaus. He was a proud grandfather to Ryan (Alyssa) Keel, Alex Keel, Brianna Mueller, Aaron (Alyssa) Mueller, Cody (Michael Bishop) Gracyalny, Cole Gracyalny, and Jadyn Nienhaus. He really enjoyed his great-grandchildren Parker, Nash, and Brooks Keel, along with his beloved great grand-pups, Willow and Oscar.

Ralph is also survived by his brothers, Dalton (Lola) Seegers and Dennis (Carol) Seegers, and brother and sister-in-law Marvin and Mazie Van Den Broek.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, John and Regina (Becher) Seegers and his in-laws Martin and Mary “Mable” (Bergman) Van Den Broek.

Ralph will be remembered for his big laugh, his love of the outdoors, and his trademark line that always made his family smile: “Vonnie, get serious!”

Ralph’s family would like to thank the ThedaCare Hospice team for their loving and compassionate care, especially Claudia and Tina.

The funeral mass for Ralph will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 410 Wallace St., Combined Locks.  A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.  For online condolences please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
