Philip John Christman, 81, of Appleton, Wisconsin passed away peacefully in his home on August 12, 2024. Phil was born in Tony, Wisconsin on August 23, 1942, to Willard and Nanna Christman. He graduated college from the University of Wisconsin- River Falls and married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Ludvik, in Ladysmith on December 26, 1964, celebrating almost 60 years together. He taught Agriculture at Abbotsford High School followed by a career in accounting and management at Fox Valley Farm Management for forty-three years. Phil enjoyed all sports and outdoor activities, especially fishing and playing tennis. Hunting with his dog at his cabin up north and spending summers at his cottage on Legend Lake with his family brought him immense joy.
Surviving him is his wife Sharon, three children: Troy Christman, Kendra (Alec) McKean, and Kelly (Steve) Verhasselt; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Shirley Koepke and sister-in-law, Sandy Christman. In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Christman.
The Funeral Mass for Philip will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Saint Edward the Confessor of Mackville, N2926 WI-47, Appleton.
