Petronella (Pat) A. Van Nuland, age 82, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, October 27th, 2024. Pat was born to William and Agnes (Kempen) Dollevoet on February 11th, 1942 in Kimberly, Wisconsin.
Pat attended Holy Name and graduated from Kimberly High School in 1961. After graduating, she worked at Kimberly State Bank. On June 13th, 1964, Pat married Thomas J. Van Nuland at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly. Pat enjoyed cooking and baking, especially when for others, volunteering at Janssen Elementary School, serving food at the local homeless shelter, and her favorite was her time spent volunteering at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, where she and Tom have been members for the past 53 years. She will be fondly remembered by the students she encountered during her 31 years as a Religious Education teacher there. Pat had a servant’s heart, and as long as those around her were happy, so was she.
Pat is survived by her husband, Tom, and children; son William (Jennifer) Van Nuland and daughter Amy (Michael) Scherwinski, and grandchildren; Mary and Julia Leverance and Addie, Lydia, and Thomas Van Nuland. She is further survived by her siblings; Robert Dollevoet, Bette Jane Novitski, sisters in law Margaret Dollevoet, Karen Dollevoet, and Mary Kay (William) Kaufman, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a son, Michael; her parents, William and Agnes Dollevoet; father and mother in law, Anton and Marie Van Nuland; her brothers, Thomas and Gerald Dollevoet, sister in law Judy Dollevoet; brother in law Gerald Van Nuland, and sister in law Barbara Piette and her husband John.
Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. To know her was to love her, and when you were around her, you always knew you were loved. She will be deeply missed.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 4, 2024, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 410 Wallace Street, Combined Locks.
