Peter R. Vande Voort, 65, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. He was born on December 10, 1960 in Kaukauna, son of the late George and Helen (Vondracek) Vande Voort.

Pete graduated from Kaukauna High School with the Class of 1979. He worked many jobs throughout his career, including Amusement Devices Inc. and for many years working as a semi-truck driver for H.O. Wolding, a career he took great pride in. Pete enjoyed the simple things in life and was happiest spending time doing what he loved. He was a devoted NASCAR fan, cheered on the Green Bay Packers every season, and enjoyed taking motorcycle trips whenever he could. He enjoyed woodworking, and was known as a great cook who enjoyed sharing meals with family and friends. He was an avid dart player, becoming a legend in the dart community travelling all over competing and winning a majority of the time. A social person by nature, Pete never met a stranger. He treasured the friendships he made throughout his life and especially cherished the time he spent with his family. His greatest joy was being with his grandchildren, creating memories they will hold close forever.

Pete will be remembered for his friendly personality, kind heart, sense of humor, and the love he shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Pete is survived by his siblings: Paul (Patty) Vande Voort, Ann Vande Voort, Karen (Rich) Horn, and Mark “Mush” Vande Voort; daughter, Ashley (Allen) Olson; grandchildren: Lilly and Sophia Olson; brother-in-law, Jim Solorzano; nephew, Brian “Shorty” VandenBloomer; as well as many other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Kay Solorzano; nephew, Parry Vande Voort; and a great niece Maggie; and close friend, Stack.
