Paula J. Kwak

Paula J. Kwak, 58, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 after a courageous battle against colon cancer. She was born on August 2, 1965 to Benjamin Salvador and Sharon (Leitzke) Heuer. 

Paula graduated from Kaukauna High School, class of 1983. She was married to Joe Kwak for 27 years. She worked as a paraprofessional at Freedom Elementary for 15 years. Working with her students was one of her greatest passions in life and she loved every moment of it. Paula loved to spend time with her family enjoying get togethers, doing crafts and puzzles, and the occasional trip up north. She was also a member of St. Edward the Confessor of Mackville. Paula will be remembered for her kind heart, bravery, and her strong faith which helped her exceed all expectations based on her cancer diagnosis. 

Paula is survived by her husband, Joe; her children: Courtney (fiancé Chad) Kwak and Teddy Kwak; her parents: Benjamin Salvador and Sharon Heuer; siblings: Tracy (Steve) Nau and Vince (Heather) Salvador; mother-in-law, Shirley Kwak; brothers-in-law: Jim (Candy) Kwak and Scott (Amber) Kwak; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A prayer service for Paula will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, N3972 Columbia Ave., Freedom, WI.
