Patti L. Jansen, age 65, of Appleton, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025. She was born on October 19, 1959, daughter of the late Donald E. and Stella M. (Kempen) Calmes. Patti attended St. Nicholas Catholic Grade School and graduated from Gillett High School.
She is leaving behind a legacy of laughter, faith, and unforgettable stories. A true social butterfly, she could strike up a conversation with just about anyone.
Patti’s deep faith was a steady compass throughout her life, and she found strength and joy in her church community. She was a woman of both grace and grit—beautiful, strong-willed, and full of personality.
Her fierce spirit, warm heart, and unmistakable laugh will be missed beyond measure. Patti leaves behind a wide circle of family and friends who will carry her memory with love and gratitude.
Patti is survived by her devoted partner of 24 years Kevin Vander Logt, her loving daughters, Shannon Jansen and Heather Jansen whom she shares with her former husband Dan Jansen, her siblings: Carol (Dennis) Leygraaf, Jean (Bob Van Damm) Van Schyndel, John (Sue) Calmes, Hank (Vicky) Calmes, Jerry (Candice) Calmes, Roseanne (Ron) Holewinski, Don Jr. (Amy) Calmes, Mary (Jon) Williams, Bob (Bonnie) Calmes, David (Kim) Calmes, sister-in-law, Joanne Calmes; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends and her cat Mickey.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son Jeremy Jansen, brothers: James and LeRoy Calmes; brothers-in-law: Tom Leygraaf and David Van Schyndel; nieces: Linda Calmes, Sherry Leygraaf and Laurie Leygraaf and parents Donald and Stella Calmes.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home Kaukauna Location, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna. A vigil service will conclude the evening. Visitation will continue Friday, July 25, 2025, at Holy Spirit Parish-Kimberly Site, 600 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Angels Cemetery, Darboy.
