Patrick Farrell

Patrick Francis Farrell, age 86 of Kaukauna, passed away April 13, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born July 25, 1939 to the late Peter & Helen Farrell. Patrick married Patricia Janssen on September 5, 1960. Their loving marriage of 65 years was blessed with four children, Joseph, Daniel, Diane & David.

Patrick served in the Armed Forces from 1956 thru 1962. He was honorably discharged on November 1, 1962. After his working career, Patrick served his community with volunteer work at St. Joe’s Food Pantry, Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry and Holy Cross Church, where he was an active member. He eagerly helped his children and friends with any project that arose. Patrick enjoyed spending time with family and playing games. He remained active and was able to keep up with the grandchildren and even great grandchildren in his later years. Patrick was always ready for a game of Cribbage or Sheepshead and used his bookkeeping skills to track his wins on hand written spreadsheets.

Patrick is survived by his wife Patricia and children: Joe (Patty) Farrell, Dan (Mary) Farrell, Diane (Dave) Lamers and Dave (Nicky Bowman) Farrell; grandchildren: Greg (Rachel) Farrell, Jessica (Jeremy) Poch, Krista Farrell (Grayson Smith), Josh (Alie) Staerkel, Brittany Lamers, Cory (Travis Hummelmeier) Farrell & Jordan (Nellie) Farrell; great grandchildren: Callie, Carly, Brighton, Alaina, Vesper, Jet and other extended grandchildren; siblings: Anthony (Phyllis) Farrell, Darlene Wagner, Thomas (Gloria) Farrell, Bill (Janice) Farrell, Mark (Carol) Farrell, Mike Farrell, Ray (Brenda) Farrell; brothers and sisters-in-law: Tom (Phyllis) Janssen, Jan (Ron) Rabideau and Chuck (Nancy) Janssen.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law,  William & Alice Janssen; sister, Flora (John) Bartels; in-laws: Dennis Wagner and Karen Janssen.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Luke Ferris officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Freedom.
