Nancy Court nee Kaufert, age 87, was called home on Saturday, August 31, 2024, after a short battle with cancer on what would have been her 67th wedding anniversary.
Nancy was born on May 29, 1937, to Clarence and Dorothy (Delfosse) Kaufert in Neenah, WI. She was a graduate of Menasha High School in 1956. Nancy was united in marriage to Vernon Court on August 31, 1957, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She was a proud Den Mother for her son’s Cub Scout Packs. She later volunteered at Menasha, Wautoma, and Seymour Senior Centers and was a proud member of the Freedom VFW.
Nancy helped organize a girls’ softball league at Palisades Park in the town of Menasha. It was one of the first girls’ leagues in the area. She enjoyed coaching girls’ softball there even though she didn’t have daughters.
She loved watching the Brewers and taking many motorcoach tours with Vernon. She also loved visiting and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by three sons: Roger (Katy), Michael (Carla), and Mark (Linnaea). Grandchildren: Brittany (Alexander) Stewart, Cheyanne Giles, Paul (Samantha) Court, Jane (Ronn) Elliott, Matthew (Nicole Dean) Court, Casandra Court. Great Grandchildren: Aubree, Tucker, Graham, Emily, Joanna, William, Miles and Beckett. She is further survived by her Godsons: Corey (Melanie) Simon and Tom (Christi) Northam as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Court; mother and father, Clarence and Dorothy Kaufert; brothers, Ken, Dave, Richard, and Robert Kaufert; and sister, Judy Simon. Father and mother-in-law Clarence and Flora Jean Court.
Our family would like to thank the staff of Renaissance Assisted Living for their compassionate care given to our mom, Nancy, especially after Dad passed away. We appreciate everything you have done for our parents in the past three years.
