Myron "Mike" Krueger Obituary

Myron “Mike” Krueger, 94, of Little Chute, died Novvember 20, 2021 at St. Paul Villa in Kaukauna.  Mike was born in Bonduel, WI on May 28, 1927, the son of Edward and Irene Krueger.  He was a star athlete in high school and his nickname was “Spider”.  Mike served in the U.S. Army during World War II.  After returning from the service, he met and married Beverly Riley and moved to Little Chute in 1958 where they raised three daughters.  He worked for the motor vehicle department until he retired in 1989.  Dad and mom loved to travel out west and especially enjoyed their fall trips up north to enjoy the colors.  He enjoyed taking his daily walks, playing cribbage with his “cribbage buddies” and taking his weekly casino trips with mom.  He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  He will be remembered for his “friendly personality” as he made friends wherever he went.

Mike is survived by his three daughters; Sharon Jansen, Vickie (Maron) Hauschel and Michelle (Mark) Hopfensperger, grandchildren; Scott Thomack, Chad (Heather) Thomack, Jeff (special friend Holly) Hauschel, Heather (Matt) Nowak, great grandchildren; Luke Thomack, Jaina Thomack, Kendall Thomack, Davis Hauschel and Nolan Nowak, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his wife Beverly, his parents, brothers; Delmar (Elmira) Krueger, Delore (Mae) Krueger, a sister; Evelyn (Slats) Gretzinger, grandsons; Keith Hauschel and Michael Thomack, a son-in-law James Jansen and sister-in-law Pat (Russ) Owen.

The service for Mike will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the VERKUILEN VAN DEURZEN FUNERAL HOME, 101 Canal St., Little Chute followed by military honors conducted by the Little Chute Legion Post #258. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m.  until the time of the service at the funeral home.  For online condolences please see www.verkuilenfh.com.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at St. Paul Villa and St. Paul Hospice for the excellent and compassionate care he received for the past 4 ½ years.  Also a “special thank you “to Bonnie who always made sure dad got his special meal of potato pancakes.

We love you dad, but we know it was time to reunite with mom.  We will always remember the good times spent with you.  Have a “brandy” on us.
