Michael "Y-D" Wydeven

Michael “Y-D” Wydeven, age 58, passed away unexpectedly at his home of natural causes on April 20, 2022. He was born on October 21, 1963, son of Tom and Betty (Hermsen) Wydeven. Y-D married Jenny Jansen on March 9, 1991 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute.

Y-D worked as a salesman in the paper industry until his retirement in 2020. His favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family and friends, especially at the cottage on Pelican Lake. He enjoyed sunny days on the pontoon, fishing, sports and the outdoors. Y-D was extremely quick witted and had a great sense of humor. He was always the life of the party, and when he entered a room, his presence was felt. He will be deeply missed.

Y-D is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jenny Wydeven; parents, Tom and Betty Wydeven; sister, Jane (Craig) Miller; in-laws: Tom (Pat) Jansen, Terry (Sue) Jansen, Todd (Adalia) Jansen and Tina (Tim) Paulson; nieces and nephews: Emily (Josh) Holbrook, Maria Recker, Laura Recker, Amy (Ron) Bernitt, Andrea (Brenton) Hietpas, Bridget (Kurt) Ladewig, Kelly Miller, Nikki (Bryan) Hoerning, Connor (special friend, Claire) Jansen, Emily (Judd) Miller, Lisa (Sandy) Jansen, Jessi (Brandon) Hoerth, Tito (Yulia) Sosa, Alito Sosa, Jessica Barlow, Jake (fiancé, Becky) Barlow, Missy (Nick) Hietpas, Elly (Vern) Hixon, Erin (Tony) Lindberg and Becca Paulson; numerous great nieces and nephews that absolutely adored him; cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Y-D was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Joe “Bully” and Dolores “Toots” Jansen; brother-in-law, Bob Barlow; nephew, Tim Miller.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 411 Vandenbroek Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Following the service, a celebration of his life will continue at Hollanders Bar and Grill, 1820 E.
