Michael G. Van Camp passed away unexpectedly at his home at the age of 58. He was born on May 27, 1964, son of Jacob Van Camp Jr. and Darlene (Coffey) Van Camp. Mike was raised on the family farm in Freedom and up until his passing, he enjoyed helping with chores and cutting the grass. He was a dedicated, proud employee of Burger King for over 30 years. Mike was a huge Packer fan and could tell you many things about the team the average fan wouldn’t know. And if he was ever told your birthday or anniversary, he would not forget it.
Mike is survived by his parents, Jake and Darlene Van Camp; siblings: Jacob (Fay) Van Camp III, Gregg Van Camp, Sally (Quinton) Bennett, Kurt (Peggy) Van Camp, Mark (Pamela) Van Camp and Nicholas (Alina) Van Camp; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by a nephew, Clifton Van Camp.
A private family service will be held at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom and Mike will be buried in the parish cemetery. For online condolences, please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
