It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mary Witt at the age of 90 on December 17, 2024. Surrounded by love, she left this world with the same grace that she carried throughout her life.
Mary was the devoted wife of 46 years to her husband, Jim. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and fond memories.
As the proud mother of seven loving daughters and one cherished son, Mary was the heart of a family that along with 8 children grew to include 8 in-laws, 18 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
The size of her family is a testament to the love she shared and the life she dedicated to those around her. Her children, each a reflection of her compassion and unwavering devotion, carry forward her legacy in the way they love, live, and care for others.
Born to John and Veronica Berkers, owners of the Kaukauna Floral, Mary developed an exceptional green thumb. Working as a floral designer, she could bring any plant to life and took immense pride in her beautiful arrangements, which reflected her nurturing spirit and creative touch.
Mary will be remembered for her gentle spirit and the way she made everyone feel cherished. She found joy in simple things like sitting on her back porch sharing laughter and stories with her family. Her home was always a place of love and laughter.
She is survived by her children: Denise and Rick Hoelzel, Diane and Tim Brockman, Darlene and Luke Stumpf, Donna and Mark Biese, Dawn and Mark Kohl, Bob and Michelle Witt, Becky and Mark Lehman; 18 grandchildren: Nicole (John) McKinnon, Steve (Beth) Hoelzel, Scott (Allison) Hoelzel, Lauren (Moira) Brockman, Aaron (Parker) Brockman, Leah (Phil) Gocker, John Stumpf, Mikayla Stumpf, Brooke Biese, Morgan Biese, Miranda Kohl, Austin Kohl, Ellie Witt, Megan Witt, Taya Witt, Ian Witt, Ben Lehman, and Mitch Lehman. Brothers, Jack (Peggy) and Dennis (Margaret) Berkers. There are currently 14 great grandchildren and countless others who were touched by her kindness. She is proceeded in death by her husband, James Witt, daughter, Debbie VandenBosch, and son-in-law Thomas VandenBosch
A celebration of her beautiful life will be held 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
And just at the moment when someone says “She is gone” there are loved ones waiting and watching her saying “Here she comes!”
A special thank you to all the caregivers and staff at Country Villa, Little Chute and the nurses from Moments Hospice. Amazing people who make a difference in the lives of others.
