Mary L. Weyenberg

Mary L. Weyenberg, age 88, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024 surrounded by her family at her home. She was born on May 7, 1936 to Alphonse and Marcella (Hietpas) Coenen in Little Chute. She attended St. John School in Little Chute. She married Bob Weyenberg on July 3, 1958 and he preceded her in death on May 5, 2006.

Mary was very active with Boy Scouts serving as den mother with Pack 112 in Darboy, religious emblems counselor, and as a Chairman for Catholic Scouting in the Green Bay Diocese for 12 years. She retired as Business Manager for the Darboy Water Department after 16 years of employment. She was also an active member of Holy Spirit Parish and assisted with their funeral dinners for 39 years. She also took part in preparing meals for the parish’s special events and headed up the Popcorn Ball Project for Angel Arts for several years. Mary’s greatest accomplishment in life was being a mother and raising her 6 sons who turned out to be outstanding young men who are caring and compassionate.

Mary is survived by her sons: Bruce (Terry) of Blaine, MN, Roger of Darboy, David (Sandy) of Menasha, Gary (Diane) of Kimberly, Lyle (Tammy) of Sherwood, and Alan of Darboy; five grandchildren: Katie (Alex) Kulp of Ramsey, MN, Mitchell (special friend Alivia) Weyenberg of Kimberly, Christa (Jose) Acosta of Green Bay, Gilbert Weyenberg, and Anne Weyenberg of Sherwood.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Marvin (Alice) and Gerald (Shirley) Coenen.

A Funeral Mass for Mary will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Church-Darboy, W2806 County Rd. KK Appleton, WI 54915. Visitation will begin at the church at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until the time of the Mass. Mary will be laid to rest in Holy Angel Cemetery.
