Mary E. Navis, age 86, passed away on May 29, 2024. She was born on February 18, 1938, daughter of the late Cole and Orva (Stiller) Yache. Mary married Arthur on August 10, 1957, and together they raised their family in Fond du Lac.
Mary stayed at home with her children until they went off to school. She then worked several jobs at the Labor Temple, Grande Cheese, Taycheedah Women’s Prison, Operation Fresh Start and worked at the State Capital as an administrative assistant for several representatives. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, playing cards and camping with her friends. Most importantly, Mary loved spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her children and their families: Arthur (Jane) Navis and their son Trevor; Lorrie (Kevin) Pratt and their children, Nicholas (Kelly Hensler) and Alyssa (Nicholas) Schubert; Michael (Diana) Navis and their children, Kelsey, Connor (Brianna Wolford), Kristen and Kendra; siblings: Cole (Bonnie) Yache and Kathryn (Don) Flowers; nieces, Tara and Erin and a nephew, Gabriel.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Navis and her parents, Cole and Orva Yache.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division Street, Neenah. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Mary’s name. Interment will be in Omro Cemetery.
