Mary Ann Meyerhofer, age 89, Village of Harrison, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024. She was born on June 16, 1935 to the late Gilbert and Hattie (Labs) Mahnke. She was married to Cletus for 61 years on December 26, 1953, he preceded her in death on April 5, 2015.
Mary loved going to rummage sales before her stroke 9 years ago. She also loved artificial flowers – the more the better.
She made the best sweet dill pickles, Rice Krispie treats, Chex mix, and much more.
Mary is survived by her children: Steve (Bev) Meyerhofer, Ruth (Bruce) Thompson, Mike (Vicki) Meyerhofer, John Meyerhofer, Bruce (Lori) Meyerhofer, Joyce (Tom) Harris, Dave (Lynn) Meyerhofer, Dan (Shelley) Meyerhofer. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren: Laura (Dave) Mayer, Sarah (Marc) Vandenhouten, Ryan (Megan) Meyerhofer, Randy (Nicole) Thompson, Gary (Erica) Thompson, Janet (Cal) Harrell, Michael Meyerhofer Jr., Angie (Robby) Denis, Rachel (Clint) Evans, Josh Meyerhofer, Matt (fiancée Haley) Meyerhofer, Ben (fiancée Ariele) Meyerhofer, Amber (Cody) Broeren, Ashley (Steve) Ropski, Adam (Danielle) Smet, Brooke (Ryan) Serwe, Andrew (fiancée Danielle) Meyerhofer, Erin and Mitch Meyerhofer; 30 great grandchildren; 2 step-great grandchildren; and one more baby on the way.
She is further survived by a brother, Milton; in-laws: Paul (Mary) Meyerhofer, Pat (Anna) Rochon.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter Joan; great-grandsons: Lincoln Vandenhouten and Theodore Harris; daughter-in-law Deb Meyerhofer; sister-in-law Doris Mahnke; Cletus’ parents Georgia and James Rochon; Cletus’ brother and sister-in-law Glen and Betty Meyerhofer; sisters-in-law Barb Meyerhofer and Marlene Rochon.
The Funeral Mass for Mary Ann will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Parish (N369 Military Rd., Sherwood) with Father Michael Betley officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26 from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Kaukauna’s Verkuilen – Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home (2401 Fieldcrest Dr.) and will continue at the church on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. She will be laid to rest next to Cletus in the Parish Cemetery.
