Marvin G Bastian

Marvin Gilbert Bastian passed away on July 29, 2024.  Marvin was born on September 4, 1933, son of Gilbert and Agnes (VanderBloemen) Bastian.  He married Eloyice Wichman on July 6, 1955. He was a veteran of the Air Force.  He was employed at International Papers. He resided in Wrightstown until his retirement and then moved to the cottage home on Lake Lucerne in Crandon followed by a move to Larsen, WI.  He loved spending time outdoors, gardening, hunting, woodworking and playing cards.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 69 years, Eloyice; his children Dan (Robin) Bastian, Steve (Chris) Bastian, Cindy (Norman) Krause, Lynn Bastian, Mary Bastian, Craig (Dani) Bastian, and Curt (Lisa) Bastian, There are 15 grandchildren Jay Bastian, Leah (Josh) Liebzeit, Jill (Mike) Nuebert, Donna (Jason) Bellis, Matt (Chris) Bastian, Scott Krause, Todd Krause, Kasey (Josh) Kimball, Shannon Hayes, Logan Bastian, Isaiah, Gabriella, Lillyan, Isabella and Ellyana Bastian, 12 great grandchildren Natalie, Carson, Hailie, Jack, Jadyn, Jory, Micah, Selah, Taylor, Macie, Evelyn and Charlotte.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Melvin (Lois) Bastian, Kenneth (Rose Marie) Bastian and sister Lorraine (Gordon) Berken and two grandchildren, Jason and Laura

A memorial service for Marvin will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Star of Hope Chapel at Highland Memorial Park, 3131 N. Richmond St. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the chapel.  For online condolences please visit www.verkuilenfh.com
