Martin "Marty" San Miguel

Martin “Marty” San Miguel, age 72, of Little Chute, passed away on his birthday, October 12, 2024. He was born on October 12, 1952, in Texas, son of the late Martin and Senaida San Miguel.

Marty married the former Mary Wippich on March 9, 2001. Together they loved traveling, camping and winters in South Padre. Marty loved to tinker on just about anything. He enjoyed airplanes and trains, and also hunting and salmon fishing. Marty loved kids, especially his grandchildren. After retirement, he enjoyed driving bus for Lamers. Each of his 11 grandchildren were very special to him and he loved spending time with them.

Marty is survived by his wife, Mary San Miguel; children: Amanda (Drew) Wilson, Stephanie (Jasen) Surin, Eric (Kim) Uitenbroek and Kayla (Tom) Wyngaard; grandchildren: Gabriel, Greta, Rhys, Myles, Brantley, Aubre, Ashton, Evan, Lauren, Madilyn and Theodore; sisters: Elva and Irma San Miguel; mother-in-law, Millie Wippich; brothers and sisters-in-law: Rose (Ken) Baumgartle, Terry Wippich (Chris Scharenbroch), Tom (Kathy) Wippich and Dan (Jenny) Wippich; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Marty was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Senaida San Miguel; brothers: Hector, David and Ricky San Miguel; and father-in-law, Larry Wippich.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home Kaukauna Location, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna.
