Martha J. Evers, age 96, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with those she loved. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, cared for, and important. Her home was filled with warmth, laughter and often the wonderful aroma of something baking in the kitchen.

Martha enjoyed many simple pleasures throughout her life. She loved playing cards with her family and friends, sewing beautiful creations, making crafts, spending time at the cottage and reading books by the stack.

One of Martha’s greatest loves was babies. She delighted in holding every new child who entered the family, rocking them, loving them, and showering them with affection. Her gentle arms and loving heart made generations of children feel safe and treasured. Though she will be deeply missed, Martha’s family finds comfort in the countless memories she created and the love she shared so freely throughout her 96 wonderful years. Her life was a blessing and she will be loved and remembered always.

Martha is survived by her children: Debra (Darshan) Dhaliwal, Joseph (Becky) Evers, David (Nancy) Evers, Jeffrey (Lori) Evers and Julie (Larry) Wild; 17 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marilyn Wyngaard; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Barney“ Evers; parents, Henry and Gertrude (VandenBurgt) Wyngaard; siblings: Dorothy (Richard) Grapentin, Marie (Frank) Schiedermayer, Anthony (Theo) Wyngaard, Ruth Huss, Richard Wyngaard and Robert (Florence) Wyngaard; sister-in-law, Barbara (Donald) Sachs; father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Josephine Evers.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 411 Vandenbroek Street, Little Chute. Visitation will be at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
