Marlene F. Hermsen

Marlene F. Hermsen, age 85, of Kimberly, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, at the St. Paul Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 11, 1939, daughter of the late Herbert and Martha (Raymaker) Leitermann. Marlene married Lloyd Hermsen on June 6, 1959, and he preceded her in death in 2023.

Marlene was an avid card player and she enjoyed cooking, baking and knitting. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Marlene had a true caregivers heart and until her last days, was always trying and willing to help anyone that needed it. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.

Marlene is survived by her children: Donna (Russ) Hebbe, Nancy (Matt) Meyer and Mark (Kim) Hermsen; grandchildren: Jenni Hebbe, Mike (Amber) Hebbe, James (special friend, Heather) Anderson, Jason (Brenda) Anderson, Amanda (Kurt) Van Rens, Brandon, Mason and Eyon Hermsen; great grandchildren: Remington, Sawyer, Sierra, Logan (Amber), Matthew and Dustin; great-great grandson, Oliver; brothers: Jim (Phylis) Leitermann and Jerry (special friend, Rhonda) Leitermann; sisters-in-law: Ellie Behling, Grace Schmidt and Millie Wippich; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

Marlene was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Lloyd Hermsen; her parents; her twin sister, Darlene (Lloyd) Gunther; father and mother-in-law, George and Rose Hermsen; brothers and sisters-in-law: Helen Leitermann, Helen (Joe) Vande Voort, Clara (Emmet) Newhouse, Joe (Lillian) Hermsen, Lorraine (Leo) Hooyman, Cecelia Hermsen, Marian Hermsen, Raymond Hermsen, Ed Behling, Ralph Schmidt and Larry Wippich.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Holy Spirit Parish-Holy Angels Church, W2806 County Road KK, Darboy. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly.
